SENIOR EMBEDDED ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN

ROLE OVERVIEW

As part of our 38th America's Cup campaign, we are looking for a Senior Embedded Electronics Technician with a strong background in competitive sailing (IMOCA, ULTIM, TP52, America's Cup, SailGP).
Reporting to the head of the electronics division, you will be responsible for the deployment,integration, and maintenance of onboard electrical and electronic systems for our high-performance racing yachts.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install and integrate onboard electrical and electronic systems according to marine competition standards

• Prepare, assemble, and wire electrical harnesses with professional-grade finish (crimping, soldering, labeling)

• Physically integrate systems while meeting environmental constraints (sealing, vibration, enclosures, IP ratings, etc.)

• Assemble and commission systems from electrical diagrams and schematics

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of onboard installations

• Ensure installation traceability and contribute to technical documentation


IDEAL PROFILE

• Proven experience in competitive sailing environments (IMOCA, ULTIM, TP52, America's Cup, SailGP)

• Strong knowledge of embedded hardware: cables, connectors, sensors, actuators, enclosures, etc.

• Mastery of marine-standard connector assembly techniques (soldering, crimping)

• Experience integrating marine-grade systems: waterproof enclosures, environmental protection, corrosion resistance

• Familiarity with coaxial standards and ability to size and route complex wiring harnesses

• Fluent with embedded communication protocols: CAN, RS232, RS422

• Ability to select and size power converters, power supplies, and electrical interfaces

• Well-organized, detail-oriented, autonomous, and a strong team player with high standards of workmanship
