EMBEDDED SOFTWARE ENGINEER

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our high-performance sailing team. The position involves designing, developing, and maintaining real-time embedded software systems used onboard racing yachts, with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and integration with hardware and sensor networks.

The role requires close collaboration with control systems, electronics, and performance analysis teams to ensure seamless operation in mission-critical conditions, particularly in real- time Linux-based environments.


RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and test real-time embedded software modules in C/C++

• Integrate software with sensors, actuators, and embedded computing platforms

• Work with Linux RT (Real-Time) environments for deterministic behavior

• Collaborate with electronics and system engineers to ensure hardware/software compatibility

• Contribute to system-level design and documentation

• Participate in debugging, validation, and optimization of code onboard test platforms and yachts

• Support deployment and updates of embedded applications during testing and racing sessions

IDEAL PROFILE

• Degree in Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics or related field (Bachelor’s/Master’s)
  
  
• Professional experience (3+ years) in embedded software development
• Strong programming skills in C and C++
  
  
• Hands-on experience with Linux, ideally with real-time kernel configurations
  
  
• Familiarity with hardware interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, GPIO)
  
  
• Comfortable working in resource-constrained and mission-critical environments
  
  
• Autonomous, solution-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team
