Kylian Mbappé's association “Inspired by KM” (IBKM) has become the official partner of the French team, thereby expanding the association's international reach by inspiring young people through the power of sport.

Starting with this weekend's stage in Los Angeles, the French team will display the colors of “IBKM” on the wing of their F50 catamaran. The association works to open up opportunities for young people, allowing them to experiment and experience diversity, learn, understand, and share so that they can pass on what they have learned.

SailGP, a pioneering championship with strong social and environmental commitments
While SailGP is a prestigious international sporting championship in which twelve rival national teams compete aboard identical flying catamarans, designed and built for high-intensity racing at electrifying speeds exceeding 100 km/h, the other facet of the competition is the Impact League, one of the conditions for teams to join the SailGP championship since Season 2.

Participants must support and carry out responsible social and environmental projects, but also minimize their impact on each event (travel, energy at bases, waste management, etc.).

“All on Board” for greater inclusion

The meeting between the protagonists was made possible thanks to Accor—one of the world's leading hotel groups, which has been a partner of both the SailGP championship and the SailGP FRA team managed by K-Challenge, as well as the IBKM association since 2024.

It was therefore natural for Accor, the French SailGP team, and the IBKM association to join forces with a common goal: to reach out to the younger generation, inspire them, and support them so that they can achieve their full potential. This commitment aims to support Kylian Mbappé's initiatives around the world and promote the social responsibility of the French SailGP team. The latter has also always had in its DNA the desire to promote diversity and inclusion, as well as training young people in all types of professions, whether in the field of sailing, innovation with hydrogen technology, or project management, etc.

With “Inspired by KM,” Kylian Mbappé supports young people from diverse backgrounds to help them flourish through education, sports, and culture. A true “co-educator,” the association works alongside families and schools to open up opportunities for young people. With We Care for All, its international program, IBKM is expanding its reach to touch as many young people around the world as possible.
With 13 events on the calendar this year and a presence on three continents, the SailGP FRA team will help to further strengthen the visibility of the IBKM association, whose impact continues to grow.

The first major event with the “Inspired By KM” association will take place next June in New York, for the Mubadala Sail Grand Prix (June 7-8), with the children of the association supported by Kylian Mbappé attending an inspiring program organized with the France SailGP team and Accor.
