Impact projects carried out this season by the French SailGP Team
Discover the four major initiatives we are proud to have led:

Project 1 - The race to zero waste:
Development of a circular economy adhesive tape made from oyster shell powder and biodegradable glue to replace traditional adhesive tape, in collaboration with the start-up Ocean First.

Project 2 - Accelerating inclusion:
In collaboration with our partner association, the Inspired by Kylian Mbappé Foundation, and our partner Accor, we launched a program that aims to create opportunities for young people to discover sailing and learn about many related topics by joining SailGP events and initiatives organized by the French team.

Project 3 - Climate action:
In collaboration with the Pure Ocean Fund Foundation, we have supported a small-scale seaweed production chain in a coastal marine reserve in northeastern Brazil: Regen Ocean Farms. This project combines the restoration of Brazilian coastal ecosystems with economic development for the local population, offering an innovative and attractive approach to marine conservation.

Project 4 - Breaking down barriers:
In April 2025, K-Challenge, the team managing the France SailGP team, launched the AKADEMY, a program aimed at creating systemic change by offering young people and women a path to professional sailing through a 360-degree approach that includes sailing opportunities and ways for athletes to develop the necessary skills, such as physical training, data analysis, and managerial skills.
