Our Club

The America’s Cup is a challenge between national yacht clubs. For the 2024 campaign, the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez - very active in the organisation of renowned sporting events - is challenging its English (Royal Yacht Squadron), Italian (Circolo de la Vella), Swiss (Société Nautique de Genève), and American (New York Yacht Club) rivals for the right to face the Defender, the Royal New-Zealand Yacht Squadron in the America’s Cup Match.

Pierre Roinson, President of the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez, said: "The Orient Express Racing Team who will represent us at the America's Cup, a competition of excellence, can count on the unfailing support of the more than 500 members of the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez. We are very happy to be a cornerstone of the 2024 campaign."

The Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez

Founded in 1862, the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez (SNST) has been organising regattas for over 160 years. Some of its members have left an indelible mark, including pioneers of French sailing Guy de Maupassant in 1887 and Paul Signac in 1892. Affiliated to the French Sailing Federation and an associate club of the Yacht Club de France, the SNST prides itself on its ability to evolve and maintains a philosophy of being open to innovation while respecting tradition.

With a dedicated team that includes 16 Board of Directors members, 5 permanent staff, 500 members and numerous volunteers, the Club organises major events such as the Voiles de Saint-Tropez, the Rolex Giraglia, the Dames de Saint-Tropez, and the Paprec 600 Saint-Tropez race. The SNST also hosts events such as world championships and, since 2021, the French SailGP regatta, plus a leg of the 52 Super Series circuit in 2023.
